CCR1987270COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO RESOLUTION #270-87 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE 1988 LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE EMPLOYEES OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND THE CITY OF MUSKEGO WHEREAS, a settlement has been reached between the negotiators for the City of Muskego and the negotiators for the employees of the Public Works Department, and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute the settlement agreement (as attached) between the Muskego for the period of January I, 1988 through December 31, Employees of the Public Works Department and the City of 1988. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the amended labor agreement. SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT By and Between THE CITY OF MUSKEG0 and EMPLOYEES OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT December 14, 1987 The parties agree to a wage increase of 3.5% effective 1/1/83. ARTICLE VI1 - WORKDAY AND WORKWEEK Section /.01 - Second paragraph added to read: The potential normal workweek of the Utility Maintenance Man may include Saturday and Sunday hours in the 40 hour shift. Employees shall be placed "on step" in the above schedule based upon their length of service computed from their anniversary date of employment or promotion. Promoted employees will be placed on the lowest step in the new classification which grants the employee an increase in wages. 2. Whenever any employee is proceeded against in his official capacity, or is proceeded against as an individual because of acts committed while carrying out his duties as an employee, the City will pay all reasonable attorneys fees, costs of defending the action, and any judgement which may accrue against the employee in accordance with Section 270.58, Wisconsin Statutes. C. Longevity In addition to the base rates listed above, the City agrees to provide the following longevity payment: After five (5) years of continuous service $5.OO/Month After ten (10) years of continuous service $lO.OO/Month After fifteen (15) years of continuous service $15.00/Month
