AGREEING IN PRINCIPAL TO PROVIDING AN ENHANCED 911
PHONE SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF MUSKEG0
WHEREAS, Enhanced 911 is an emergency telephone service which
helps protect lives, homes and businesses by providing community
residents with one telephone number for all emergencies and by
help can be dispatched, and
displaying the caller's exact location when 91 1 is dialed so that
WHEREAS, the Waukesha County police chief and fire chief

enchanced 911 system in the respective communities, and
WHEREAS, there will be a cost to each of the communities involved
for the purchase of in-house equipment, with that cost yet to be
to be paid by the telephone user.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Muskego agrees in
principal that an enhanced 911 phone system would make Muskego a
safer place to live and that Muskego is indeed interested in
providing that service to its citizens.
