CLARIFICATION OF CITY'S POSITION ON HUD HOUSING
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego wishes to indicate its continued
support of the locating of HUD 202 housing facilities in the
City, and
WHEREAS, there is a potential for more than one applicant within
a community, and
XIEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board has recommended the sale
of the land-locked park land south of Hwy. 24 currently leased
for farming purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that site control
of the property that will be obtained for grant application shall
be the responsibility of the applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance
Committee, does hereby agree that when site control is obtained,
applicants who have successfully obtained site control in their
it is the present intent of the City to cooperate with the
efforts to locate HUD 202 housing in the City of Muskego,
providing any change of zoning required is in the best interest
of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be in effect
during the 1987 application period only.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby directed to
pursue the determination of the land value of the park land and
to determine whether or not the City can use it for other than
park purposes.
