REQUESTING A TRAFFIC COUNT FROM
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ON HWY. 24
WHEREAS, the City has been advised that Hwy. 24 will be
resurfaced from Hwy. F to the Milwaukee County Line, and
WHEREAS, it is the City's position that there is a need for
curb and gutter in the City's business district which currently
has a shopping center and highway service businesses, with the
land to the south anticipated to be developed commercially, and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation has indicated
that a traffic count is necessary to establish need and to
make a determination as to participation in the construction of
provide cost figures to the municipality so the City is able to
curb and gutter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby request the State Department of
Transportation to take a traffic count on Highway 24 from
Lannon Drive to Bay Lane in order to establish the need for
curb and gutter, and submit the information to the City for
further review.
