CCR1984214RESOLUTION #214-84 ESTABLISHMENT OF HIRING POLICY, DESIGNATION OF RESPONSIBLE EMPLOYEE AND ESTABLISHMENT OF GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE (Handicapped Requirements - Federal Revenue Sharing) WHEREAS, in order to qualify for Federal Revenue Sharing funds, the Handicapped Regulations require a self-evaluation be completed prior to October 17, 1984, publication of a Notice advising the public, employees and job applicants that the City does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status, that a adopted, and responsible employee be designated and a Grievance Procedure be WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended approval of the following policies proposed by the Self-evaluation Committee: PUBLIC NOTICE REVENUE SHARING HANDICAPPED REGULATIONS This notice is published pursuant to the requirements of section 51.55 of the Revenue Sharing Regulations, as published in the Federal Register on October 17, 1983. Section 51.55 prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals because of their handicapped status. The City of Muskego advises the public, employees and job handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or applicants that it does not discriminate on the basis of employment in, its programs and activities. The City of Muskego has designated the following person as the Charlotte L. Stewart, City Clerk - W182 S8200 Racine Avenue, contact to coordinate efforts to comply with this requirement: Muskego, WI 53150 - 679-2660 - 8:OO A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday thru Friday. GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE Any Complaint alleging handicapped discrimination (other than complaints concerning employment) shall be handled as follows: Step One: The aggrieved person shall present the grievance complaint of discrimination within sixty (60) calendar days of in writing to the head of the department involved in the the date of the occurrence causing the complaint. (In the case Heads shall forward the grievance with their recommendation to of the Library or Parks and Recreation Department, the Department their respective Boards for action.)
