GRANT RESEARCH - FOX RIVER FLOWAGE GRANT
(Linnie Lac/Little Muskego Lake)
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Legislature has established a new State
program entitled, "Wisconsin Scenic Urban Waterways Program",
and has provided funding in the amount of $200,000 for projects
that would improve the environmental quality and recreational
potential of the Fox River watershed, and
WHEREAS, the DNR has been given the responsibility of
disbursing these monies, and
WHEREAS, the City of New Berlin and the City of Muskego, at a
joint Committee of the Whole meeting on October 3, 1984, have
agreed to pursue the application for grant funds for a project
to reduce the sediment flow from Linnie Lac to Little Muskego
Lake.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby join the City of New Berlin to pursue
the application for grant funds for a project to reduce the
sediment flow from Linnie Lac to Little Muskego Lake.
