APPROVAL OF HIRING PARTTIME PARK EMPLOYEES
IN COOPERATION WITH THE MAA
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego and the Muskego Athletic
Association participated in a cooperative effort in 1983
maintenance employee, and
whereby the MAA donated funds for the hiring of a parttime park
WHEREAS, for 1984 the MAA has offered to donate funds for the
hiring of two parttime park maintenance employees per the
attached schedule, and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board and the Finance
approval.
Committee have reviewed this proposal and have recommended
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee,
does hereby authorize the hiring of one park maintenance
employee for 14 weeks and one park maintenance employee for 7
weeks during the summer months, with the MAA donating the funds
Social Security and Workman's compensation, for a total of
to the City for the employees' salaries at the minimum rate,
$2,924.36.

Gn January IBth, I appeared before the Park & Recreation Board to
obtain their approval for the funding of summer employees to'zssist
in maintanence of the baseball fields and was granted permission to i
come before the Finance Committee for your approval.
The I.I.A.A. approved the funding for two (2) summer. employees as
follows:
Cne (1) employee for 14 weeks and one (1) employee for '7 weeks.
Tete'may chose the starting date for %he first employee, he ks
suggested a date of April 16th. The second employee will start
on June 1 Ith.
Zmployee for 14 weeks:
560 hours x $3.35 per hour equals .< 1,876.00
social Security 7% of gross wages equal " 171.72

The employees- under this donation .will only wo& Fonday thru 3riday.
The 7 week employee will work 6"weeks at 32 hours per week and 1 week
at 40 hours.
These figures have been verified with the City Clerk and she agrees
with them.
