REJECTION OF ALL BIDS
KURTZE LANE SEWER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the following bids have been received for the Kurtze
Lane Sewer Project:
Mainline Sewer & Water $269,454.00 Michels Pipeline 338,863.80 Super Excavating 351 ,470.00 Rawson Contractors 360,530 .OO
Globe 361 ,801 .OO Tomaro 422,560.00 D. F. Tomasini 489,419.00 Walsh Constr.-Chicago 503,576.00, and
WHEREAS, the Public Sewer Committee and the Finance Committee
have recommended the bid be offered to Mainline at the low bid
of $269,454, and
WHEREAS, the low bidder, Mainline Sewer & Water has requested
the addition of $38,904 to the bid price which they stated was
an error of omission for dewatering costs, and
WHEREAS, on January 17, 1984, Mainline Sewer.& Water requested
they be released of all obligation of the original bid in the
amount of $269,454 without penalty or loss of bid bond, and
WHEREAS, the Public Sewer Committee recommended that in the
event Mainline requested release, it would be in the best
interest of the sewer utility to rebid the project
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Sewer
bids as submitted.
Committee and the Finance Committee, does hereby reject all
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineers are hereby
directed to rebid the project, and include that portion of
Kurtze Lane referred to as the Hernke Cul de sac extension.
