A RESOLUTION REFUSING CONSENT TO MILWAUKEE
METROPOLITAN SEWERAGE DISTRICT TO REDEFINE ITS
BOUNDARIES TO INCLUDE THE CITY OF MUSKEG0 SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego did, on the 1st day of
November, 1983, receive a Resolution from Milwaukee Metropolitan
Sewerage District redefining its taxation boundaries; and,
a representative of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District,
namely; Attorney James Peterson, on the 8th day of December,
1983, and thereafter considered and deliberated upon the request
of Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muskego met with
others, engaged in litigation in the Circuit Court for Waukesha
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego is presently, along with
County, which litigation is over the boundary issues with
Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District; and
approved a long-term Service Contract with Milwaukee Metropolitan
Sewerage District, which contract was negotiated by Milwaukee
Metropolitan Sewerage District and approved by said District on
the 19th of May, 1983; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muskego recently
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego now has a service contract with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District and wishes to remain a
contract customer with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District;
and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muskego believes
that it is in the best interests of the City of Muskego, its
electors and taxpayers, under the law and the contract it has
with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, to refuse to
consent to allow Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to
redefine its boundaries, to include territory within the limits
of the City of Muskego.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Common Council

of Muskego and expressly refuses to grant its consent to any

District boundaries within the City of Muskego.

Metropolitan Sewerage District to redefine its boundaries,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Common
Council of the City of Muskego that the City of Muskego
hereby denies the proposed boundary redefinition within the
City limits of the City of Muskego and expressly refuses to
grant its consent to any proposed expansion of the Milwaukee
Metropolitan Sewerage District boundaries within the City of
