AUTHORIZING CANCELLATION OF CERTAIN UNCOLLECTIBLE
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
(Rescue)
WHEREAS, the Clerk's Office has advised the Finance
Committee that there are certain uncollectible accounts for
monies due the City as a result of providing rescue service;
and
Medical Assistance which are only partially paid through State
WHEREAS, certain accounts involve persons who are on
and Federal agencies and the law provides that any unpaid
balances are not permitted to be collected from such persons;
and
agency since 1981 and are uncollectible due to no assets,
unability to locate, deceased, or no estate; and
WHEREAS, certain accounts have been at the collection
the balances due in the amount of $649.00 (Title 19) and
$1 ,638.75 (Others).
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended cancelling
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of
the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance
Committee, does hereby authorize the Clerk-Comptroller to
cancel the uncollectible amount of $649.00 due the City
Medical Assistance (Title 19) and the uncollectible amount of
resulting from rescue services provided to recipients of
$1,638.75 due the City resulting from rescue services provided
to persons for which the Collection Agency has been unable to
collect.
