CREATING NEW POSITION OF MAINTENANCE
PERSON AND TERMINATING CLEANING SERVICE
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on May 25, 1983, the Finance Committee recommended to the
Common Council, the acceptance of the low bid of Michels Cleaning
Service for the cleaning of the municipal buildings, and
WHEREAS, the agreement with Michels Cleaning Service expires on
December 31, 1983 and contains a two week cancellation clause, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that the agreement
with Michels Cleaning Service be cancelled as of October 1, 1983,
and replaced with a full time maintenance person to be responsible
for the cleaning as well as minor maintenance of the municipal
buildings at $4.35 per hour.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Cormittee, does
hereby authorize the City Clerk to terminate the agreement with
Michels Cleaning Service effective October 1, 1983.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council does hereby create the
new position of Maintenance Person.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized
to hire a full time maintenance person at the rate of $4.35 per
hour to be responsible for the cleaning and the minor maintenance
of the municipal buildings effective October 3, 1983.
