APPROVAL OF APPEALING THE COURT'S DECISION
(Vanden Plas)
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the Court of
Appeals decision which reversed the judgment of the circuit
court for Waukesha County in the City of Muskego vs.
Lawrence Vanden Plas matter, and
WHEREAS, the deadline to file a Petition for Review to the
Wisconsin Supreme Court is March 16, 1983,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby approve appealing the court's
decision in the Vanden Plas matter and approve attempting
to negotiate^ a settlement of said case.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is hereby
authorized to file a Petition for Review to the Wisconsin
Supreme Court by March 16, 1983, along with any other
necessary documents.
