APPROVAL OF FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACT WITH
MUSKEGO FIRE COMPANY FOR THE YEAR 1963
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Muskego and the
Muskego Volunteer Fire Company enter into a contract for
fire protection for the city's residents, and
WHEREAS, the attached contract has been recommended for
approval by the city,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
Safety Committee and the Finance Committee, does hereby
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public
approve of the contract for fire protection between the
Muskego Volunteer Fire Company and the City of Muskego
for the year 1983.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the contract in the name of
the city.

AGREEMENT made and entered this 1qd.q day of Q&d& , 1982, by
and between Muskego Volunteer Fire Co., a Wisconsin Corporation, party of
the first part and the City of Muskego, a Municipal Corporation of the State
of Wisconsin, party of the second part,
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants herein contained, IT IS AGREED

a. The party of the second part will pay to the party of the first part the
sum of Fifty Two Thousand Six iluhdred anu Ninety One ($52,691)
for the year commencing January 1, 1983, and ending December 31, 1983,

le quarterly in advance. Fire runs are to be made by the party of the
part to any fire within the area hereinafter described, and in
iance with the call from any resident of said area.
The area referred to is described as follows
Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 28, 30, 31, 32,
and all that part of area of the West 1/2 and East 1/2 of Section
33 lying West of the canal leading from Big MuskeKo Lake southerly

2 Party of the first part will furnish the necessary 1'irc trucks, II(JSC,

men necessary to operate the same, and will respond to calls for lire-
fighting assistance made by any resident of the area to be served by party
of the first part, and will combat the fire with its best efforts. Provided,
however, that is fire trucks of the party of the first part are unavailable
bcc.;tuse of responding to another fire call. there shall be no liability on
the part of said party of the first part under this agreement
3. Party of the first part assumes all liability for damages caused by the
negligent operation of its fire trucks or equipment, and agrees to obtain
automobile liability insurance covering the operations of its trucks said

n i insurance to have a minimum liability for bodily injury in the amounts of
.$150,000.00, $500,000.00 and $50,000 00 for property damage 1 4. The party of the second part recognizing the value of mutual aid
egreements between fire departments in Waukesha County agrees to permit
MuskeKo Volunteer Fire Company to continue on with such nKreemcnts
5. Any previous contracts between the parties itre hereby declared null and
0 void as of Janaury 1, 1983.
