RECOGNIZING THE SPECIAL SERVICE OF MUSKEGO
POLICE OFFICER, STEVEN KUKOWSKI

WHEREAS. on June 23. 1982. the dispatcher at the Muskego Po ce li
Department received.a frantic call- that an eight year old
autistic boy was missing from his home located at S71 W14976
Westcot Drive, and
WHEREAS, Officer Steven Kukowski answered the call immediately
to help sourch for the boy, und
WHEREAS, Officer Kukowski surmised that the logical place that a
young boy would wander to would be a long narrow pond approximately
one-fourth mile from his home, and
WHEREAS, when Officer Kukowski sighted and finally reached the
boy it was necessary to swim out into the pond to rescue him
from drowning,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, in behalf of all of the citizens of the city, does
hereby commend Officer Steven Kukowski for his extraordinary police
work and special service in that he risked his own safety to save
the life of a drowning boy from a pond in the area of Durham Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be
placed in the personnel file of Steven Kukowski and be a part
of the permanent records of the City of Muskego.
