ESTABLISHING A POLICY REGARDING INJURED STRAY
CATS FOUND WITHIN THE CITY
a
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee referred to the Finance
Committee the request of HAWS that injured stray cats be
included in the animal warden's responsibilities, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that injured
stray cats found within the city be transported to the local
veterinarian during the day or to the emergency shelter during
the animal warden's available hours, and
with the injury, and
WHEREAS, HAWS accepts all responsibilities for costs incurred
WHEREAS, the city would be responsible to the animal warden
in the amountda$4.00 pickup charge plus mileage,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee,
does hereby authorize the animal warden to pick up injured
stray cats within the city during the day and transport them
to the local veterinarian or to the emergency shelter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all costs will be accepted by
HAWS other than the $4.00 pickup charge plus mileage by the
animal warden.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution pertains to
injured stray cats only.
