AUTHORIZING THE REFUND OF INTEREST CHARGES
(Sewer Installation - forced hookups)
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Public
Sewer Committee that one forced hookup in 1980 was charged
8 percent (8%) interest to be paid in five annual instal-
lments, and
WHEREAS, two forced hookups in 1981 paid 9 percent (9%)
interest, and
WHEREAS, State Statutes limits the amount of interest
charged on forced hookups to 6 percent (6%), and
WHEREAS, the Public Sewer Committee has recommended that
those residences that were overcharged interest be
refunded,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public
Sewer Committee, does hereby authorize the following
refunds for interest charged over and above the 6 percent
allowed by State Statutes:
