APPROVING THE NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT OF CITY HALL
EMPLOYEE'S GRIEVANCE REGARDING JANUARY 4TH CLOSING
WHEREAS, several employees of the city hall have filed
a grievance over the refusal of the city to pay them for
the day the city hall was closed due to a snow emergency,
and
WHEREAS, that grievance requested full payment of salaries,
and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee agreed to recommend to the
Common Council that those employees in city hall, excluding
library personnel, shall be paid one-half of their salary
or have the option of taking a vacation day or use their
floating holiday,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby accept the recommendation of the
Finance Committee to settle the grievance filed by the
several city hall employees by paying them one-half their
hours as vacation or floating holiday.
