RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING PETITION AND ORDERING
ELECTION OF THREE COMMISSIONERS AT ANNUAL MEETING OF LITTLE
MUSKEGO LAKE PROTECTION & REHABILITATION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Chapter 33 of the laws of the State of Wisconsin, has
recently been amended, effective the date after publitation,
than members of governing bodies of the community in rhich the
to provide that commissioners for lake districts can be other

WHEREAS, the amendment provides that upon presentation of a
petition requesting the change and signed by at least twenty
governing body of the municipality shall provide for the
(20%) percent of the property owners within the district the
necessary election, and
WHEREAS, the amendment also provides the election shall be
held by secret ballot at the next annual meeting of the
district, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk's Office has received said petition
and has verified the validity of its signers, and
WHEREAS, the election is ordered subject to the amendment to
Chapter 33 being effective the date of the election,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby determine that upon the petition signed
by 20 percent of the property owners within the district an
election shall be held at the next annual meeting, being the
adjourned 1981 annual lceeting of the Little Muskego L,ake
Protection and Rehabilitation District or any further adjourn-
ment thereof for the purpose of choosing three comissioners as
provided by Section 33 As Amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the change in the form of governance
shall take effect as Drovided bv law.
