CCR1981088RESOLUTION #88-81 -? INDICATING THE CITY'S WILLINGNESS TO COOPERATE
WITH THE DNR IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PUBLIC ACCESS
ON BASS BAY
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of August, 1979 the Common Council
adopted Resolution #162-79, As Amended, indicating their
willingness to cooperate with the DNR in their efforts to
provide public access to Big Muskego Lake and Bass Bay, and
WHEREAS, 22nd day of January, 1980 the Common Council adopted
Resolution 1\6-80. expressing opposition to having a public
access on Bass Bay, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has indicated
chat an access on Big Muskego Lake would not be in the best
interest of the public, and
WHEREAS, the Public Welfare Committee has recommended that
che Common Council rescind its action on Resolution 1/6-60
and indicate its willingness to accept the DNR's recommendation
that the public access be on Bass Bay.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Welfare
Committee, does hereby rescind its action relating to Bass
Bay as contained in Resolution 1\6-80 and indicate to the DNR
its willingness to cooperate in the development of a public
access on Bass Bay .
