RESOLUTION HONORING THE 52 FORMER HOSTAGES
*. WHEREAS, the hostages held by the Iranian government for
444 days have returned to America, and
WHEREAS. during their 444 days of captivity they have suffered
both physical and mental anguish, and
WHEREAS, throughout the entire ordeal they have conducted
of, and
themselves in a manner in which all Americans can be proud
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muskego wishes to
acknowledge their return as well as their remarkable endurance,
and
WHEREAS, the Common Council wishes them health and happiness
in the future, and
WHEREAS, President Reagan has declared Thursday, January 29, 1981 as a special day of thanksgiving,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, in behalf of all of the citizens of this
who while serving their country became hostages of the
community, does hereby welcome home 52 very special people
Iranian government.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council acknowledges
their strength and perseverance and wishes each and every
one of them the best of everything in the years to come
