DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PLACE A REFERENDUM

ON THE APRIL 7, 1981 SPRING ELECTION BALLOT PER-
TAINING TO A LITTLE FUSKEGO LAKE DISTRICT GRANT
WHEREAS, the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation
Muskego Lake, and
District has received a permit to dredge portions of Little
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency of the United
States Government has provided a grant of $995.000.00 as its
contribution toward the project, and
WHEREAS. the Deoartment of Natural Resources of the State of
Wisconsin-has ais0 contributed towards the project the amount
of $190,000.00, and
WHEREAS, the Little Muskego Lake Association, throue;h the efforts of many Muskego residents, plans to raise at least
$200,000.00 as its contribution towards the project, and
WHEREAS, the members of the Little Muskego Lake Protection and;
Rehabilitation District. at its annual meeting endorsed the
project and indicated a willingness to bear a substantial
portion of its cost, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muskego would like
would consider providing the Little Muskego Lake District with
to determine whether or not the taxpayers of the City of Muskego
a grant of $200,000.00,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby direct the City Clerk to place the following
referendum on the April 7. 1901 spring election ballot:
Shall the City of Muskego join the Federal and State
Governments in helping to rehabilitate Little Vuskego
Lake by providing a grant of $200,000.00?
