RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO THE STORAGE OF PCB'S
IN THE BIG BEND INDUSTRIAL PARK
1) WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources is considering
a request to store PCB'S (Poly Chlorinated Byphenyls) in
the Big Bend Industrial Park, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held to consider the
matter, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muskego wishes to
potential hazards,
express its strong opposition to the proposal because of
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby declare its opposition for the proposal
to store PCB'S in the Big Bend Industrial Park and does
respectfully request the Department of Natural Resources to
deny the request.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this opposition is based on the
following :
Althpugh the permit asks to store the material for
a miximum of 18 months there is no firm available
to dispose of the material safely.
The sub-soil of the entire area is primarily sand
and gravel and therefore in the event of a spill
