COUNCIL FOR LAKE REHABILITATION EFFORTS
DECLARING THE AGREEMENT OF THE COMMON
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego is blessed with three lakes within
the Milwaukee-Waukesha metropolitan area, with many hours of
its boundaries which provides its citizens, as well as others in
recreational pleasure, and
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego, and the former Town of Muskego,
have endeavored to protect the quality of these lakes and
the environment around it by the use of building codes, zoning
ordinances, subdivision control ordinances and erosion control
measures, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council, recognizing the lakes in the city
as being a great asset, has further protected them by providing
municipal sewers wherever possible, and
WHEREAS, the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation
District has embarked on further efforts to improve Little
Muskego Lake by hydraulic dredging, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council wishes to declare its support of
projects which will benefit the lakes in the community
and specifically the Little Muskego Lake Dredging Project,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby declare its concern for the quality
of water in all three of the lakes within the boundaries of
the city and its support for efforts that will improve the
quality of the lakes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby declare that it morally agrees of the
efforts of the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation
District to improve the quality of water of Little Muskego Lake
by hydraulic dredging. A

the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District
