AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION OF TWO NEW LIFT
PUMPS IN THE IANNON DRIVE - WOODS ROAD LIFT STATION
WHEREAS, the possible bypassing of the northwest sewage treatment
facility as well as the backup ofnsewage into residential base-
ments has prompted the Public Sewer Committee to recommend the
installation of two new pumps in the Lannon Drive - Woods Road
lift station, and
WHEREAS, in their opinion time is of the essence and they have
recommended that the Board of Public Works (Common Council)
in which the public health or welfare of the city would be
consider this a public emergency because of the threat of damage
endangered,,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Sewer Committee,
does hereby declare that an emergency does exist and two high
capacity pumps must be installed immediately in the Lannon Drive -
Woods Road lift station to avoid threatened damage in which the
public health or welfare of the city would be endangered.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this action is taken under the
provisions of Section 62.15(1)(b) of the State Statutes and
the Mayor is authorized to order the equipment immediately.
