DENIAL OF GRIEVANCE (J. Cummings)
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has received a grievance
result of termination of her employment, and
from Judy Cummings regarding vacation pay due her as a
WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the city's negot-
iating attorney, the Finance Committee has denied the
grievancd since she did not work a full year, and
WHEREAS, .it has' been recommended ..by the .Finance Committeei that the.- grievance -be -denied..,;.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED -that the Common Council of
Finance Committee, does hereby deny the grievance submitted
the City of musk ego,^ upon the recommendation of the
in behalf of Judy Cummings (dispatcher).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this denial is based on the
recornendation of the city's negotiating attorney, John
Swain, and is based on the fact that Sec. 17.08 of the
city's contract with the Union states that she shall
receive vacation pay prorated for the length of time
from the date of entitlement which is the one-year
anniversary date. \
