CCR1979157WHEREAS, District Droiects Q I * t 0 I ATTEST : RESOLUTION #157-79 URGING THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES BOARD TO GRANT A WAIVER FROM CURRENT WETLAND POLICY (Dredging Disposal Sites) the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation is. involved in one of the largest inland lake renewal " in the United States and has received substantial grants from both the federal government as well as the state, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide disposal sites into which the dredged materials can be placed, and WHEREAS, the commissioners of the lake district have been advised that because. two acres of one site and one acre of of a wetland and therefore the use of the sites is questionable another site meets the Department of Natural Resources definition or at least somewhat limited, and WHEREAS, because of that determination the dredging project could be delayed another year, and WHEREAS, the City of Muskego has zoned as wetlands approximately 3,000 acres within the ctty's boundaries, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, in the hope of being able to assure the continuation of the dredging project for the Little Muskego Lake Protection ment of Natural Resources Board to grant a waiver to the district and Rehabilitation District, does respectfully urge the Depart- sites chosen bv the district. from the current wetland policy as it relates to the disposal City Clerk 81 79 je -, LYIY.
