RESOLUTION REGARDING MARTIN DRIVE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Common Council has previously authorized the
preparation of plans and specifications for the recon-
struction of a portion of Martin Drive, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has further authorized that
the project be part of the Federal Safer Off-Systems
Program which entitled the city to 75% of the cost
($75,000.00). and
WHEREAS, the bids for the project have been rejected
by the State, and
WHEREAS, the city has been advised that although re-
bidding in the future is possible additional funds to
and
cover the increased cost probably would not be available,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee has recommended that
whether or not it would be beneficial for the city to
the city's engineers review the project to determine
proceed with the project on its own in which instance
federal standards would not have to be met,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recornendation of the Public
Works Committee, does hereby authorize its consulting
engineers, Ruekert & Mielke, to review the Martin Drive
project, to revise the design and specifications, where
possible, and to bid the project
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Committee
will report the results of that bidding and make their
recommendation to the Common Council
