ACCEPTANCE OF BID FOR NEW 1978 MODEL
I FOUR WHEEL DRIVE HIGHWAY TRUCK
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee had advertised for bids
for a new 1978 four wheel drive highway truck equipped with
a revergible snowplow, leveling wing and material spreader,
and
WHEREAS, 'the following bids have been received:
Wisconsin Truck Center, Inc. (Oshkosh Truck) $ 65,928.00
qdilwaukee Mack Sales, Inc. 63,204.00 I
and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Public Works has recommended
to the coynittee that the bid of Wisconsin Truck Center, Inc.
for an Oshkosh truck be accepted, and
WHEREAS, in the opiniop of the Public Works Committee the
Oshkosh truck is far superior to that of the Mack truck, and
WHEREAS, monies for the above equipment has been provided for
in the 1978 Public Works Capital Budget,
"HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Works CC)nunittee.
does hereby accept the bid of the Wisconsin Truck Center, Inc.
for a new'l978 model four wheel drive Oshkosh truck equipped
with a reversible snowplow, leveling wing and material spread
in the amount of $65,928.00 in spite of the fact that it is
slightly higher in cost.
