CCR1978125RESOLUTION 0125-78 4. HONORING AN AFS STUDENT IN MUSKEG0 (Anthony Norton)
WHEREAS, for the past several years many local citizens have given generously of their time and efforts to maintain the American
Field Service Program in Muskego, and
WHEREAS, it is the aim of the AFS Program to promote understanding,
friendship and knowledge between the people of the world by arrang-
ing an interchange of students between the United States and other countries, and
WHEREAS, for the past year Muekego has been privileged to have
an AFS student, Anthony Norton, from the City of Durban, South Africa,
live here, and
WHEREAS, Tony has exemplified the purpose of the AFS Program
during his visit in Muskego,
'MEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby honor Anthony Norton, an AFS student, and
extends to him an invitation to return to our City some day in
the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be
sent to His Honor, the Mayor of Durban, South Africa.
