APPROVAL OF FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACT WITH
MUSKEGO VOLUNTEER EIRE COMPANY
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Muskego and the
Muskego Volunteer Fire Company enter into a contract for
fire protection for the city’s residents, and
WHEREAS, the attached contract has been recommended for a
approval by the city,
THEREFORE, BE -IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby approve of the contract .forfire protection
between the Muskego Volunteer Fire Company and:the City of Muskego
€or the year 1978.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED-that-the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute t_he contract in the name of the city.

..by and between Muskego Volunteer Fire Co., a Wisconsin Corporation
party of the first part and City of Muskego, a Municipal Corporation
of the State of Wisconsin, party of the second part;
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants herein contained,
IT IS AGREED:
1. The party of the second part will pay to the party of the first
part the sum Of Fprty Two Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Seven dollars
( $42,697.00) for the year commencing January 1, 1978, and ending .. .

made by the party of the first p2rT Io any fire within the area hek,
inaftcr described, and in cornplianre with the cal1,from any resident
of said area.
The area referred'to is described as follows:
Sections .4, 5, 6, 7,.8,.9, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21,
28, 30, 31, 32, and 2ll.that part. of area of
the West 1/2 and.East 1/2 of "Sec~tion 33 lying West
of the canal leading .from''Big MLskego Lake southerly
to the Waukesha-Racine County Line, all of Township 5
North, Range 20 East, Waukesha County, \iisconsin.

2. Party of the first part will furnish the necessary fire trucks,
hose', ladders and miscell~nccrusf.ire-fighting equipment, and the
volunteer firemen necessary to cperar.e rhe same, and \vi11 respond to
calls for fire-fighting assistance made by any resident of the area
to be served by party of the first part, and will combat the fire
l,.i*Lh its best efforts. Provided, hc\,ever, that if fire trucks of
the party of the first part are unaurilrble because of responding to
znother fire call, there shall be no ilability on the part of said
party of the first part under'this ~. agreenent.
3. Party of the first part assumes all lizbility for damages
caused by the negligent operation of its fi-re trucks or equipment,
and agrees to obtain authomobile liability insurance cwering the
operation of its trucks, said insurance to have a hinimum liability
limit for bodily injury in the amounts of $150,000.00, $500,000.00
