CREATING THE TERMINAL POINT OF HILL'VIEW
DRIVE AS A FIRE LANE
WHEREAS, the city received a petition by residents residing
along ~iilview Drive to designate the terminal Point of
Hillview Drive for use as a fire lane only, and
WHEREAS, they have further requested that the Proper signs
be posted indicating the use as a fire lane only, and
WHEREAS, they have further requested that the Proper signs
be posted indicating the use as a fire lane and further, the
necessary barricades be provided to help restrict the use of
the area to that of a fire lane only, and
WHEREAS, this request has.been made because of the hazard
created by the traffic presently using Hillview Drive as
an access to Little Muskego Lake
WHEREAS, there are no facilities available which could
accommodate vehicles and trailers using the area as a boat
launching site, and
WHEREAS, use of the area for access to the lake during the
winter .creates a hazard to children using the lake in that
area for winter activities.
THEREFORE, BE'IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby declare that the use of the
east terminal point of Hillview Drive is hereby restricted
to that of a fire lane only.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Department
is directed to install the necessary sign designating that
the use of the area is limited to that of a fire lane only
and to provide the necessary barricades to help restrict
its use for that purpose.
