CCR1977211RESOLUTION #211-77 (Amended) DENIAL OF REQUEST TO AMEND PARKLAND PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the Common Council has received a petition from the owners of Parkland Mall to amend the Planned Unit Development in order that a Boy Blue "satellite store" could be constructed on a portion of the parking lot, and WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held by the Common Council, and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Muskego has recommended denial for the following reasons: 1. An informal hearing attended by several residents of the area indicated strong objection to the proposal. 2. Lannon Drive is not geared to the additional traffic which could be generated by the additional business. 3. The proposal could have an adverse affect on the residential character of the lands immediately to the west. 4. The Plan Cmission wishes to discourage the development of "satellites" inasmuch as they could detract from the shopping center itself. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Plan Commission, does hereby deny the request to amend the Parkland Planned Unit Development to permit the construction of a Boy Blue "satellite store". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the reasons for the denial are as follows: 1. Lannon Drive is not geared to the additional traffic which could be generated by the additional business. 2. The proposal could have an adverse affect on the residential character of the lands immediately to the west. 3. The Plan Cmission wishes to discourage the development of "satellites" inasmuch as they could detract from the shopping center itself.
