INITIATING PETITION AND SETTING PUBLIC
HEARING FOR PROPOSED REZONING IN SECTIONS
5 and 8 (R-1 to RS-1 - A. Schmidt)
WHEREAS, a petition has been pending before the Plan
Commission to rezone approximately 24 acres of the
Adrian Schmidt property from R-1 to RS-1 to permit the
development of 30,000 sq. ft. lots, and
WHEREAS, the city's Planning consultant has recommended,
after a study of the area in question and adjacent areas,
that the topography in the total area proposed to be
rezoned does not lend itself to high density and that
there would be a question as to the feasibility of sewering
the north portion of the Schmidt property, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has recommended that an area
including the southern portion of the Adrian Schmidt property
as well as property to the south would be suitable for
development as an RS-1 District,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Plan
Commission, does hereby indicate its intent to rezone a
portion of the Adrian Schmidt property in the SWl, of
Section 5, as well as the adjoining property to the
south in the NWa of Section 8, from R-1 to RS-1 as
indicated on the attached exhibit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing be held on
June 14, 1977, at 7:OO P.M.
