CCR1976249RESOLUTION #249-76 DENIAL OF REZONING IN SECTION 5 (R. Knudsen) WHEREAS, the Common Council has received a petition submitted , by Richard M. lhudsen to rezone a parcel of property located at W188 S6909 Gold Drive, from RS2 to RSA to permit an existing building to be remodeled into a duplex, and WHEREAS, the required public hearing has been held, and WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission had submitted the request to the city's planning consultant, Dr. Joseph Mangiamele, for his recommendation, and WHEREAS, the planning consultant has recommended denial of the request for the following reasons: 1. A duplex in this area would not be in conformance with the city's comprehensive and zoning plans. 2. There is currently active development in this area of single family residences. 3. A previous neighborhood study prepared for a duplex development on Gold Drive indicated that they should . not be permitted. 4. The rezoning of a single parcel of land to a different. use from that permitted on all lands surrounding it is contrary to good planning practices. and, WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has recommended denial of the petition for the rezoning based on the above recormnendations, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Counc1.1 gf the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Plan CornmissLon, does hereby deny the rezoning request submitted by Richard M. Knudsen to rezone a parcel of property on Gold Drive from RSZ to RSA which would permit an existi.ng building to be rmcdsled ink0 a duplex.
