ESTABLISHING SALARY FOR CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has been considering
establishing a specific salary for the city attorney's
office, and
WHEREAS, the city attorney's office will be required
to handle all legal matters for the city at the stated
salary, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the members of the Finance
Committee that the establishment of a set salary would
be beneficial to both the city and its present city
attorney, and
WHEREAS, it is understood that the only additional
fees which would be paid to the city attorney would be
for matters which would have to be taken to higher
courts out of state and would further require Finance
Committee approval, and
WHEREAS , the Finance Committee has recommended that the
present method of paying for services as rendered be
changed by establishing a specific fee of $15,000.00
per year,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of
the City of Muskego does hereby establish a salary for
the city attorney of $15,000.00 per year.
