AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUATION OF THE CADET PROGUM
WHEREAS, the Common Council on the 12th day of November, 1974
adopted Resolution 8250-74 titled "Creation of Position of Temporary
Cadet for Police Department" and
WHEREAS, the present cadet has completed his schooling and is
requesting that he be promoted to patrolman, and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has requested that the position of
temporary cadet be continued, and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee and the Finance Committee j.n
reviewing the request noted that the employment of a cadet has helped
reduce overtime which the dispatchers must work, and that thc cadet
program has the advantage of providing the City with a trai-ned indi-
vidual who can be promoted if a position becomes vacant, and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee and the Finance Committee have
another year.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City o€
Muskego does hereby continue the present cadet program for the Police
Department through the year of 1977.
