(AS AMENDED)
DESIGNATING EMPLOYERS INSURANCE OF WAUSAU
AS THE CITY'S INSURANCE CARRIER
WHEREAS, the city has been advised by Sentry Insurance Company
of a major increase in the cost of its insurance program, and
WHEREAS, Employers Insurance of Wausau was asked to give a
cost estimate based on similar insurance coverage, and
WHEREAS, approximately $20,000.00 can be saved by transferring
the city's insurance coverage from Sentry Insurance Company to
Employers Insurance of Wausau, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that Employers
Insurance of Wausau be designated as the city's insurance
carrier as of January 1, 1976 from which date the City of
Muskego has a binder, and
'@ WHEREAS, it is further the Finance Committee's recommendation
that because of the uncertainties of the cost of insurance
programs the city begin the preparation of specifications
of its insurance programs for bidding in September of each
Year,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby designate Employers of Wausau as the
city's insurance carrier for the year of 1976.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council directs the Finance
Committee to begin preparation of specifications for its insurance
program for bidding in September of each year in order to permit
the designation of its insurance carrier prior to December 31st
of each year.
