AUTHORIZING =FUND TO KENNETH LARSEN
FOR CULVERT COST

WHEREAS, it is the City of Muskego's responsibili,ty to properly
driveway culverts for new homes constructed i.n the City of Muskego,
size and arrange for Brookfield Culvert Co. to provide and place
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kenneth Larsen had contracted with Bielinski Builders
to construct a new home on the northeast corner of Longfellow Lane
and Saroyan Road facing Longfellow Lane, and
WHEREAS, Bielinski Builders, on November 5, 1974, obtained a
building permit and paid $380.00 for the culvert installed by the
City of Muskego, and
WHEREAS, construction of the basement was begun on November 21,
1974, includingekcavation, footings, basement walls, backfilling
and delivery of framing materials, and
WHEREAS, only after considerable construction was Mr. Larsen, and
and the culvert had been placed for his driveway, and
subsequently Bielinski Builders, notified that the city had erred
WHEREAS, the culvert as originally sized amounted to a 30" pipe
at a cost of $380.00, and
WHEREAS, the resized culvert consisted of two 52" arched culverts
at a cost of $1,300.00, said cul.verts to accommodate not only the
normal drainage on Longfellow Lane but also the storm water carried
through the main Fountainwood drainage ditch from New Berlin, and
WHEREAS, the normal culvert as originally sized and placed at a
cost of $380:00 would accommodate the normal dra.inage on Longfellow
Lane, and
WHEREAS, as the additional capacity of the resized two 52" arched
culvert is required to handle the storm water from New Berlin
through the Fountainwood Drainage ditch,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Muskego shall share the cost
of the oversized culvert in amount of $650.00.
