CCR1975243RESOLUTION #243-75 AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR AIDS FOR PREPAR:ING WASTE WATEK TREATMENT AND CONVEYANCE FACILITY PLANS WHEREAS, the City of Muskego has received notice from Southeastern Wisconsin Planning Commission that funds have been earmarked by the Environmental Protection Agency for the specific purpose of preparing precise waste water treatment and conveyance facility plans in order Section 208 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendment of' to meet the Congressional planning requirements established in 1972, and WHEREAS, communities selected to receive funds are those which currently have a relatively high priority OR the funding priority list for waste water treatment facilities recently established by the Department of Natural Resources, and WHEREAS, communities selected to receive funds have a reasonable chance of obtaining federal construction grants during the next several years, and WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the city to seek funds for the purpose of completing all necessary preliminary work, in- filtration and inflow studies and environmental assessments for our Woods Road interceptor, and WHEREAS, each community eligible for immediate participation in this program is urged to apply for aids as quickly as possible, and WHEREAS, the city's consulting engineers, Ruekert & Mielke, are most qualified to negotiate with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency in this matter. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cqmmon Council of the City of Muskego does hereby authorize the Engineering Firm of Ruekert &. Mielke to apply for aids to the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for the pur pose of completing all necessary preliminary engineering work, infiltration and inflow studies and environmental assessments which will be needed prior to the approval of any funding for the Woods Metropolitan Sewage System. Road interceptor and the trunk sewer connection with the Milwaukee BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of thi.s resolution shall be Environmental Standards, and Mr. George Berteau, Chairman, sent to Mr. Duane Hinderman, Grant-in-Aid Section, Division of Southeastern Wisconsin Planning Commission.
