AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR ORAP OR LAWCON FUNDS TO
ACQUIRE LAND FOR ACCESS ON LITTLE MUSKEGO LAKE
WHEREAS, funds are available under the ORAP 200 Local Park Aids
Program for the purpose of providing 50% aids to communities
interested in protecting lakeshore land from overdevelopment,
and
WHEREAS, there are presently two parcels of land on Little Muskego
Lake which might be available, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to preserve, where possible, open space
adjacent to lakes in order that they may be enjoyed visually as
well as physixally by all members of the cmunity, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muskego wishes to
declare its interest in providing open space around Little Muskego
Lake ,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Comon Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby authorize the submittal of a formal application
to the Department of Natural Resources for funds to aid in the
acquisition of undeveloped land on Little Muskego Lake.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the parcels can be more specifically
identified as the Tinti-Daeda property on the east end of Little
Muskego Lake and the Schwefel property on the south end of Little
Muskego Lake adjacent to the spillway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this authorization includes the
appointment of the necessary appraiser and the execution of the
legal documents to complete the application.
