AUTHORIZING A SEWER UTILITY RATE STUDY
WHEREAS, since the beginning of the city's sewer construction
program it has been the policy of the district not to charge
residents outside the sewer district for any expenses incurred
by the district, and
WHEREAS, the city presently has in excess of 2300 users of the
system who have been absorbing the costs of operation, debt
retirement, etc., and
WHEREAS, the Sewer Committee is of the opinion that a rate study
should be conducted, and
,
I WHEREAS, the study would provide valuable information as to how I much in additional revenues can be expected as the number of
users increase, what increases in operation costs the utility
could anticipate if any, and an evaluation of the utility's
financing to determine whether our original guidelines have been
met, and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the cost of the study would not
exceed $2,000.00,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby authorize the Sewer Committee to have the
consulting firm of Ehlers & Associates conduct a rate study for
the utility.
BE IT WRTHER RESOLVED that the cost of the study shall not
exceed $2,000.00.
