AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
A WEED HARVESTER
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Muskego Lake
Protection and Rehabilitation District has requested the City
of Muskego to purchase a weed harvester along with a transporter,
shore conveyor and mobilizer, and
WHEREAS, monies have been provided in the 1975 capital budget
for the purchase of this equipment, and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to order the equipment within
the next month if it is to be made available by late spring
of 1975, and
WHEREAS, it appears that there is only one company in the
country that manufactures equipment of this nature and it will
therefore be necessary to deternine an acceptable legal method
of purchasing the equipment without bidding,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby authorize the Finance Committee
to negotiate the purchase of a weed harvester and related
equipment and report back their recmendation to the Cmon
Council in two weeks. r!
