CCR1974228RESOLUTION #228-74 (AS AMENDED) DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY CLERK 'Io MAKE PROVISIONS FOR A REFERENDUM REGARDING INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDING WHEREAS, the Common Council has previously indicated its willingness to use industrial revenue bonding for the purpose of encouraging the expansion of existing induetries within the city as well as location of new industries, and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to determine whether or not a majority of the citizens of the city concur with this decision, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby declare its intent to have a public referendum on the following question: Shall the City of Muskego increase its tax base by encouraging the expansion of existing industries as well as the locating of new industries in the city by the use of industrial revenue bonds at no cost to the citizens of the City of Muskego? BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk and City Attorney are directed to take whatever steps are necessary to place the above referendum question on the ballot for the November 5, 1974, election.
