CCR1974193e RESOLUTION #193-74 DECLARING THE CITY'S INTENT TO TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TU MAKE KURTZE LANE A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY WHEREAS, on the 14th day of November, 1972, the Common Council adopted Resolution 8214-72 which authorized a report by the Public Works Committee regarding a petition to open Kurtze Lane as a public street, and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Public Works Committee that it would be in the best interest of the public to find a means by which the road could become public and reconstructed to meet city standards , and WHEREAS, prior to expending the necessary monies for surveys, land descriptions and appraisals it was deemed advisable by the Public Works Committee to receive the consensus of the Council regarding the matter, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Works Committee, does hereby determine that it would be in the public's interest to open Kurtze Lane as a public street. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Public Works Committee are authorized to direct the engineering firm of Ruekert & Mielke to prepare the necessary descriptions needed in laying out the proposed street. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Public Works Committee are to retain two appraisers to appraise said properties and to make a report to them as to the cost, if any, to the city in the event conditional proceedings are undertaken.
