URGING CONSIDERATION FOR TRAFFIC CONTROLS IN
VICINITY OF HIGHWAY "00" AND S.T.H. 36
WHEREAS, a recent accident on Highway 36 near its intersection
with Loomis Road has kindled the consern of residents in the
area over the failure of the State to improve a very severe
traffic hazard, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Common Council that another
traffic study of the area between Highway "00" and Loomis Road
is warranted, and
WHEREAS, such a study should include the affects of installing
traffic signals at Highway "00" and Highway 36, reduction of
speed limits between Highway "00" and Loomis Road and the
possibility of passing lanes near the intersection of Highway 36
and Loomis Road,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego urges the State Highway Commission to conduct a
traffic survey of Highway 36 between Highway "00" and Loomis
Road to determine what steps can be taken to reduce the existing
hazards.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be
sent to State Representative Rutkowski and District Engineer
Tim Kinsey of the State of Wisconsin Department of Transporation.
