REQUESTING 30-INCH BICYCLE LANE ON
C.T.H. "Y" and S.T.H. 24
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee of the City of
Muskego has recommended that a request be submitted to
the State and County Highway Departments for bicycle
lanes to be constructed along S.T.H. 24 and C.T.H. "Y"
(Racine Avenue) and

WHEREAS, the increasing number of bicyclists requires
that some action be taken to reduce the potential
hazards, and
WHEREAS, it would appear that a 30" asphalt lane could
greatly reduce that hazard,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of
the City of Muskego does hereby urge Waukesha County
Highway Department and the State Department of Trans-
portation to consider the installation of a 30 inch
asphalt bicycle lane along S.T.H. 24 and C.T.H. "Yl'
(Racine Avenue) in the City of Muskego.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
shall be sent to the City's County Board Supervisors,
the Waukesha County Highway Commissioner, the District
Engineer of the State Department of Transportation and
to the City's State Representatives in Madison.
