CCR1974137RESOLUTION #I 37 - 7y NORTHWEST DISTRICT, 1-9 0 PRELIMINARY RESOLUTION DECLARING INTEN FOR SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS. RESOLVED by the Common Counc Wisconsin: ASSESSMENT DISTRICT T TO LEVY SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS iI of the City of Muskego, I. The Common Council hereby declares its intention to exercise its power under Section 66.60, Wisconsin Statutes, to levy special assessments upon property within the following described area for special benefits conferred upon such property by reason of the installation of sanitary sewer pipes in the City of Muskego, said area to be known as "Northwest District, 1-9 Assessment District": All that part of the Northeast quarter of Section 17, Town 5 North, Range 20 East, City of Muskego, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, properties included in the above sanitary sewer installation project are described as fol lows: All properties abutting S.T.H. "24" West of Racine Avenue (C.T.H. "Y") in said Northeast quarter of Section 17, extending from the intersection of the North line of said Section 17 and S.T.H. "24" Southwesterly along S.T.H. "24" to a point that is 1900 feet from the intersection of - C.T.H. "Y" and S.T.H. "24" as measured along the center1 ine of S.T.H. "24", awith the exception of the proptrty at S79 W18841 Janesvi I le Road (S.T.H. '24") belonging to Raymond Wojtczak. 2. The total amount assessed against the properties in said district shall be made under the police power of the City; a reasonable basis for the said assessments being not in excess of the average cost of installation of an 8 inch sanitary sewer having an average depth of IO feet. 3. The assessments against each parcel may be paid in cash or in IO annual instal Iments, or in such installments as wi I I be determined at the public hearing. 4. The City Engineer is directed to prepare a report consisting of: (a) Final plans and specifications for said improvements. (b) An estimate of the entire cost of the proposed work or improvement. (c) A schedule of the proposed assessments. (d) A statement that the property agaid which the assessments are proposed is benefited. 5. Upon completing said report the City Engineer is directed to file a copy thereof with the City Clerk for public inspection. such publication. (66.60 (7 Passed and adopted 6. Upon receiving the report of the City Engineer, the City Clerk is directed to give a notice as required by Section 66.60 (71, said notice shall be published as a Class I notice in the official city newspaper and a copy thereof mailed at least IO days before the public hearing to every interested person whose post office address is 1 known or can be ascertained with reasonable di I i gence.
