URGING THE STATE AND COUNTY HIGHWAY COWISSIONS
TO RESTUDY THE JNTERSECTION OF RACINE AVE.
AND S;T.H. 24
WHEREAS, the relocation of Racine Avenue at its intersection with
S.T.H. 24 has created a dangerous intersection resulting in several
accidents, and
WHEREAS the Public Safety Cornittee has repeatedly requested
consideration by the State and County Highway Comnissions in order
that steps can be taken to reduce the hazards, and
WHEREAS the State Highway Comission has promised the city that
a continuing study would be made, and
WHEREAS the Public Safety Cornittee has recornended that the Council
urge the State and County Highway Comnissions to restudy the inter-
section and to develop a firm recornendation which would help reduce
a potential for serious accidents,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby urge the State Highway Commission and the Waukesha
County Highway Comission to once again study the intersection of
Racine Avenue and S.T.H. 24 to determine what can be done to reduce
the traffic hazard potential.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council feels that time is
of the essence and would urge that the study be completed as quickly
as possible. -3
