RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO DISCUSS A JOINT GRANT
REQUEST WITH THE VILLAGE OF BIG BEND AND THE TOWN OF VERNON
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has requested that the Council
consider directing the Mayor to contact officials of the
Town of Vernon and the Village of Big Bend regarding the
possibility of a joint request of the Wisconsin Department
of Criminal Justice to study the feasibility of combined
police enforcement, and
WHEREAS, the Safety Committe has recommended that the
Council authorize such a request which is estimated to
cost the City of Muskego $100.00,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby direct the Mayor to contact the
officials’of the Town of Vernon and the Village of Big Bend
to determine whether or not they would be interested in apply-
ing jointly for a grant to study the feasibility of combining its law enforcement efforts.
