CCR1974033RESOLUTION #33-74 (AS AMENDED) a EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR ASSEMBLY BILL #766 AND SENATE BILL #37 a NHEREAS, Assembly Bill #766 and Senate Bill #37 relating to establishing a program for inland lake rehibilitation is present- and the Senate, and ly in Conference Committee after passage of both the Assembly InlHEREAS, the Conference Committee must report a joint bill out by Friday, February 15, 1974, which would then go to both houses of the legislature for final vote, and InlHEREAS, it is imperative that such legislation be adopted if there is to be any hope for rehabilitation of several lakes in Little Muskego Lake and Denoon Lake, and the southeastern part of 'Wisconsin such as Big Muskego Lake, dHEREAS, without the help of state funds the burden to the pro- perty owners for any planned rehabilitation would be prohibitive, and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Muske o wishes to go on record as being in favor of Assembly Bill #76g and Senate Bill #37 and urges the Conference Committee to not allow minor differ- ences of opinion jeopardize the development of a joint bill, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby urge the Conference Committee considering Assembly Bill #766 and Senate Bill #37 to consider the importance of providing some aid for the rehabilitation of inland Lakes and what the consequences would be should these inland lakes deterior- ate to the point of being useless to the citizens of the state. BE IT FUHTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council urges the Conference Committee to report out a compromise bill to the Assembly and Senate and does further urge the Assembly and Senate to adopt such legislation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be sent to members of the Conference Committee as well as the city's rep- resentatives in the Senate and Assembly. ATTEST : QvdflWk Ald.
